Yayın Koşulları

Yalova Tıp Dergisi olgu sunumu, derleme, araştırma makalesi ve editöre mektup türündeki yazılar için başvuruları kabul etmektedir.

Çoklu yazarlık altında sunulan makaleler, listelenen tüm yazarların gönderimle aynı fikirde olduğu ve nihai makalenin bir kopyasının tüm yazarlar tarafından ve çalışmanın yürütüldüğü laboratuvarlardaki sorumlu yetkililer tarafından zımnen veya açıkça onaylandığı varsayımıyla incelenir.

Dergiye gönderilen makaleler “Yalova Tıp Dergisi Etik ilkeler ve Yayın Politikası" na uygun hazırlanmalıdır, yazım bakımından son denetimleri yapılmalı ve yayımlanmaya hazır olarak gönderilmelidir. Bu kapsamda, “Yalova Tıp Dergisi Etik İlkeler ve Yayın Politikası”nı ihlal eden, Yayım Koşulları ve Yazım Kurallarına uymayan makaleler değerlendirmeye alınmaz.

Makaleler, çalışmanın önemli bir kısmının yayınlanmadığı veya başka bir yerde yayınlanmak üzere değerlendirilmediği anlayışıyla incelenmek üzere kabul edilir.

Makaleler Microsoft Word (Microsoft Office 98 ve üzeri sürümler) formatında olmalıdır.

Şekiller/ görüntüler makale dosyasına gömülmeli veya TIFF ya da JPEG formatında yüksek çözünürlükte (min. 300 dpi) harici dosyalar olarak gönderilmelidir.

Derginin yazım dili Türkçe ve İngilizcedir.

Etik kurul izni gerektiren çalışmalarda, izinle ilgili bilgilere (kurul adı, tarih ve sayı no) yöntem bölümünde ve ayrıca makalenin son sayfasında yer verilmelidir. Olgu sunumlarında, bilgilendirilmiş gönüllü olur/ onam formunun imzalatıldığına dair bilgiye makalede yer verilmesi gereklidir. Yalova Tıp Dergisi yapay zekâ destekli teknolojinin kullanımında güncel Yükseköğretim Kurulu'nun rehberliğini kabul etmektedir. Dergiye gönderilen makalelerde yapay zekâ araçları yalnızca dil bilgisi ve yazım denetimleri ve/ veya intihal değerlendirmesi için kullanılabilir. Yazar yapay zekâ destekli teknolojinin kullanımından doğabilecek etik ihlallere ilişkin sorumluluğun ilgili sistemleri kullanan ve bunları eserlere aktaranlara (kullanıcılara) ait olduğu bilinmelidir. Dergiye gönderilen makaleler intihal programları ile kontrol edilir. Araştırma Makalelerinde benzerlik oranı %20’yi aşmamalıdır. Özgün olmadığı veya akademik etiğe uygun hazırlanmadığı tespit edilen çalışmalar editörler tarafından değerlendirmeye alınmaz.

Makalelerin Hazırlanması

Gönderilen makaleler Microsoft Word kullanılarak oluşturulmalı, Times New Roman yazı tipinde, 12 punto büyüklüğünde, iki yana hizalanarak ve 1,5 satır aralığıyla yazılmalıdır. Referans ve resim/tablo altı yazıları 11 punto büyüklüğünde, iki yana hizalanarak ve tek satır aralığıyla yazılmalıdır.

Sayfanın her iki yanında 2,5 cm boşluk bırakılmalı ve sayfalar başlık sayfasından başlayarak sıralı bir şekilde numaralandırılmalıdır. Sayfa numarası her sayfanın sağ alt köşesine yazılmalıdır.

• Olgu sunumları sırasıyla başlık, özet (en fazla 250 kelime), anahtar kelimeler (en az 3, en çok 6), giriş, olgu sunumu (hasta sunumu, laboratuvar veya diğer bulgular, tanı ve sonucun açıklanması), tartışma ve sonuç (bu olgu sunumunda yenilikler, daha önce yayınlanmış olgulardan farklılıkları ve ilişkileri), kaynaklar, tablo başlıkları ve tablolar, şekil ve şekil başlıkları bölümlerini içermelidir.

Dergiye gönderilen tüm olgu sunumları için hastadan bilgilendirilmiş onam alınmalıdır. Bu onam ana metnin 'olgu sunumu' bölümünde belirtilmelidir.

Olgu sunumları için yazar sayısı altı, kelime sayısı 1500 kelime ile sınırlıdır.

• Derlemeler sırasıyla başlık, özet (en fazla 350 kelime), anahtar kelimeler (en az 3, en çok 6) ve ana metin bölümlerini içermelidir. Derlemeler için yazar sayısı üç, kelime sayısı 5000 kelime ile sınırlıdır.

• Editör'e mektup sırasıyla başlık ve ana metin bölümleri içermelidir ve 500 kelime ile sınırlıdır.

• Araştırma makaleleri sırasıyla başlık, özet ve anahtar kelimeler, giriş, materyal ve yöntemler, bulgular, tartışma ve sonuç, Teşekkür (İsteğe bağlı) ve Finansman beyanı, referanslar, tablolar, şekiller ve (varsa) ekleri içermelidir ve 3500 kelimeyi geçmeyecek şekilde yazılmalıdır.

Makale bölümleri aşağıdaki şekilde düzenlenmelidir:

1. Başlık Sayfası      

Başlık Times New Roman stilinde, koyu renk, bold ve 14 punto büyüklüğünde ve 2 satırı geçmeyecek şekilde yazılacaktır.

Başlık sayfası makale başlığını, yazarların adlarını, bağlı oldukları kurum adlarını ve yazışma adresini (e-posta adresi, Açık Araştırmacı ve Katılımcı Kimliği (ORCID) dahil) içermelidir.

Çalışma daha önce toplantılarda sunulmuş ve/veya özet veya ön baskı olarak yayınlanmışsa, bu durum başlık sayfasında belirtilmeli ve başlık sayfasında ayrıntılı olarak açıklanmalıdır.

Yazar bilgilerini içeren başlık sayfası ve yazar bilgilerini içermeyen başlık sayfası iki ayrı dosya olarak gönderilmelidir.

2. Özet ve anahtar kelimeler

Ayrı bir sayfada başlık hariç en fazla 250 kelimeyle sınırlı yapılandırılmış bir özet aşağıdaki başlıklarla yer almalıdır: Amaç, Yöntemler, Bulgular ve Sonuçlar.

Her başlık bold ve sadece ilk harfi büyük olarak yazılmalıdır.

Özetler standart olmayan kısaltmalar içermemelidir.

Özetin altında Index Medicus Medical Subject Headings'e (MESH) göre (https://meshb.nlm.nih.gov) en az üç, en fazla altı anahtar kelime bulunmalıdır.

Index Medicus tıbbi konu başlıklarında yeni girilen terimlerle eşleşen terimler yoksa mevcut terimler kullanılabilir.

3. Giriş

Makalenin amacı, çalışmanın veya gözlemin gerekçesi özetlenmelidir.

4. Materyal ve Metot

Yöntemler bölümü, başkalarının çalışmayı tekrarlayabilmesi için yeterli ayrıntı sağlamalıdır. Yerleşik yöntemlere atıfta bulunulmalıdır.

Çalışma birden fazla yöntem içeriyorsa ilgili başlıkları içeren alt bölümler kullanılmalıdır.

Makalede yer alan deneysel ve klinik çalışmaların ilgili etik kurul tarafından onaylandığı belirtilmelidir.

Materyal ve metot bölümünün son alt başlığında, kullanılan istatistiksel analizler belirtilmelidir. P-değerleri açıkça belirtilmelidir. Makale, bilimsel danışmanlara gönderilmeden önce Biyoistatistik Editörü tarafından değerlendirilir ve gerektiğinde yazardan düzeltmeler talep edilir.

5. Bulgular

Çalışmadan elde edilen veriler açık, kapsamlı ve yorumsuz bir şekilde sunulmalıdır.

Bulgularda yer alan verilerin istatistiksel sonuçları ortalama, standart sapma ve p-değeri bilgilerini içermelidir.

6. Tartışma ve Sonuç

Çalışmadan elde edilen bulgular literatürle karşılaştırılarak tartışılmalı, çalışmanın sınırlılıkları belirtilmeli ve çalışmanın literatüre katkısı sonuç bölümünde özetlenmelidir. Bu başlık altında hem tartışma hem de sonuca yer verilmeli, sonuç bölümü ise bu başlığın son paragrafında verilmelidir.

7. Teşekkür ve Finansman beyanı

Yazarlar dışında çalışmaya kısmi katkıları olan kişilerin isimleri bu bölüme yazılabilir. Çalışmayı destekleyen proje ve kaynak hakkında bilgi de bu bölüme yazılır.

 

8. Çıkar çatışmaları

Yazarlar, çatışma olarak algılanabilecek tüm ilgili çıkarlarını beyan etmelidir. Yazarlar, her bir menfaatin neden bir çatışmayı temsil edebileceğini açıklamalıdır.

Herhangi bir çatışma mevcut değilse, yazarlar bunu belirtmelidir.

Gönderen yazar, ortak yazarların çıkarlarını beyan etmelerinden sorumludur.

9. Referanslar

Dergimizde Vancouver kaynak yazım stili kullanılmaktadır.

Referanslar 11 punto büyüklüğünde, tek satır aralığında yazılmalıdır.

Hazırlık aşamasındaki yayınlanmamış makaleler veya diğer yayınlanmamış veriler kaynak olarak gösterilmemelidir.

Yazarın soyadı, ilk adının (bazen ilk iki adının) baş harfleri, (parantez içinde) yayının yılı, yapıtın adı, yayın bilgileri, noktalarla ayrılarak yazılır. Kitap adları başlığın ilk harfinden sonra (özel adlar dışında) bütünüyle küçük ve eğik harflerle yazılır.

10. Resimler, Tablolar, Birimler

Resimler, çizimler, grafikler vb. şekil olarak adlandırılmalıdır.

Tablolar ve şekiller metin içinde geçtikleri sıraya göre numaralandırılmalı ve bulguların ilgili bölümlerinde tablo ve/veya şekillere atıfta bulunulmalıdır.

Tüm şekil açıklamaları ayrı bir sayfaya 11 punto büyüklüğünde, tek satır aralığıyla ve iki yana hizalı olacak şekilde yazılmalıdır.

Her şekil Tiff, JPEG veya PDF formatlardan birinde olmalıdır.

Tablo ve grafiklerin hemen üstünde kısa bir açıklayıcı başlık ve altında gerekli şekil altı yazıları yazılmalıdır.

Birimler Uluslararası Sisteme (SI) uygun olacaktır.

WRITING RULES

Publication Requirements

Yalova Medical Journal accepts submissions for case reports, reviews, research articles, and letters to the editor.

Articles submitted under multiple authorship are reviewed with the assumption that all listed authors agree with the submission and that a copy of the final article has been implicitly or explicitly approved by all authors and the responsible authorities in the laboratories where the work was conducted.

Articles submitted to the journal must be prepared in accordance with the "Yalova Medical Journal Ethical Principles and Publication Policy", have their final editorial checks completed, and be sent ready for publication.

In this context, articles that violate the "Yalova Medical Journal Ethical Principles and Publication Policy" and do not comply with the Publication Requirements and Writing Rules will not be considered for evaluation.

Articles are accepted for review with the understanding that no substantial part of the work has been published or is being considered for publication elsewhere.

Articles should be in Microsoft Word format (Microsoft Office 98 and later versions).

Figures/images should be embedded in the article file or sent as high-resolution (min. 300 dpi) external files in TIFF or JPEG format.

The writing language of the journal is Turkish and English.

For studies requiring ethics committee approval, information regarding the approval (committee name, date, and number) must be included in the Materials and Methods section and also on the last page of the article.

For case reports, information stating that an informed consent/assent form was signed by the voluntary participant must be included in the article.

Yalova Medical Journal accepts the current guidance of the Council of Higher Education regarding the use of artificial intelligence-supported technology.

In articles submitted to the journal, AI tools can only be used for grammar and spell checks and/or plagiarism assessment.

The author should be aware that the responsibility for ethical violations that may arise from the use of AI-supported technology belongs to those who use the relevant systems and transfer them into the works (the users).

Articles submitted to the journal are checked with plagiarism programs. The similarity rate for Research Articles should not exceed 20%.

Studies found to be non-original or not prepared in accordance with academic ethics will not be considered for evaluation by the editors.

Preparation of Articles

Submitted articles should be created using Microsoft Word, written in Times New Roman font, 12 points size, justified, and with 1.5 line spacing.

References and figure/table captions should be written in 11 points size, justified, and with single line spacing.

A 2.5 cm margin should be left on both sides of the page, and pages should be numbered sequentially starting from the title page.

The page number should be written in the bottom right corner of every page.

• Case reports should sequentially include the following sections: Title, Abstract (max 250 words), Keywords (min 3, max 6), Introduction, Case Presentation (patient presentation, laboratory or other findings, explanation of diagnosis and outcome), Discussion and Conclusion (novelties in this case report, differences and relationships from previously published cases), References, Table Headings and Tables, Figure and Figure Headings. Informed consent must be obtained from the patient for all case reports submitted to the journal. This consent must be stated in the 'case presentation' section of the main text. The number of authors for case reports is limited to six, and the word count is limited to 1500 words.

• Reviews should sequentially include the following sections: Title, Abstract (max 350 words), Keywords (min 3, max 6), and the Main Text. The number of authors for reviews is limited to three, and the word count is limited to 5000 words.

• Letters to the Editor should sequentially include the sections Title and Main Text and are limited to 500 words.

• Research articles should sequentially include: Title, Abstract and Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion and Conclusion, Acknowledgments (Optional) and Funding Statement, References, Tables, Figures, and Appendices (if any), and should not exceed 3500 words.

Article Sections should be organized as follows:

1. Title Page

The title should be written in Times New Roman style, dark color, bold, and 14 points size, and should not exceed 2 lines.

The title page must include the article title, authors' names, their institutional affiliations, and the corresponding address (including email address, Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID)).

If the work has been previously presented at meetings and/or published as an abstract or pre-print, this must be indicated on the title page and explained in detail.

The title page containing author information and the title page without author information must be submitted as two separate files.

2. Abstract and Keywords

A structured abstract limited to a maximum of 250 words (excluding the title) must be placed on a separate page with the following headings: Aim, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.

Each heading should be bold and have only the first letter capitalized.

Abstracts should not contain non-standard abbreviations.

Below the abstract, there should be a minimum of three and a maximum of six keywords according to the Index Medicus Medical Subject Headings (MESH) (https://meshb.nlm.nih.gov).

If there are no matching terms in the Index Medicus Medical Subject Headings for newly entered terms, existing terms may be used.

3. Introduction

The purpose of the article and the rationale for the study or observation should be summarized.

4. Materials and Methods

The Methods section must provide enough detail for others to repeat the study. Established methods should be cited.

If the study involves more than one method, sub-sections with relevant headings should be used.

It must be stated that the experimental and clinical studies in the article were approved by the relevant ethics committee.

The statistical analyses used must be specified in the final sub-heading of the Materials and Methods section. P-values must be clearly stated.

The article is evaluated by the Biostatistics Editor before being sent to scientific advisors, and corrections are requested from the author when necessary.

5. Results

The data obtained from the study must be presented clearly, comprehensively, and without interpretation.

The statistical results of the data in the Results section should include information on mean, standard deviation, and p-value.

6. Discussion and Conclusion

The findings obtained from the study should be discussed by comparing them with the literature, the limitations of the study should be stated, and the contribution of the study to the literature should be summarized in the conclusion section.

This heading must include both the discussion and the conclusion, with the conclusion section provided in the last paragraph of this heading.

7. Acknowledgments and Funding Statement

The names of individuals who made partial contributions to the study, other than the authors, can be written in this section.

Information about the project and source supporting the study is also written in this section.

8. Conflicts of Interest

Authors must declare all relevant interests that could be perceived as a conflict. Authors must explain why each interest might represent a conflict.

If no conflict exists, authors must state this.

The submitting author is responsible for declaring the interests of the co-authors.

9. References

The Vancouver reference style is used in our journal.

References should be written in 11 points size, with single line spacing.

Unpublished articles in preparation or other unpublished data should not be cited as references.

• Writing Rules for Articles

Author's Surname Author's First Initial. Article title, only the first letter of the first word is capitalized, the rest are lowercase unless they are proper nouns.

Journal Name in Italics and the First Letter of Each Word Capitalized. Year;Volume in Italics(Issue): Page Number Range.

• Writing Rules for Books

Author's surname, first initial (sometimes the first two initials) of the author's first name, the year of publication (in parentheses), the title of the work, and publication information are written separated by periods.

Book titles are written entirely in lowercase and italic letters after the first letter of the title (except for proper nouns).

Example: 1. Murray, PR, Rosenthal KS, Kobayashi GS, Pfaller MA. (2002), Medical microbiology. 4th ed. St. Louis: Mosby.

• Writing Rules for Internet Sources

Author's Surname, Author's First Initial. (Publication date of the text). Title of the text in italics, only the first letter of the first word is capitalized, the rest are lowercase unless they are proper nouns.

Access date: Day Month Year, link of the text.

Figures, Tables, Units

Images, drawings, graphs, etc. should be referred to as Figures.

Tables and figures should be numbered according to their order of appearance in the text, and tables and/or figures should be cited in the relevant sections of the results.

All figure legends should be written on a separate page in 11 points size, with single line spacing, and justified.

Each figure must be in Tiff, JPEG, or PDF format.

A short explanatory title must be written immediately above the tables and graphs, and the necessary figure captions must be written below.

Units shall comply with the International System (SI).
